I had one of those recently...probably the same one and yes it knocked me
sideways for a bit too. Then like you I realized that it is a scare campaign someone must make money somehow out of these messages that do the rounds. I have been Ca free now for 15 years and I refuse to have my confidence destroyed by unscientific crap. All the best to your dear sister and to you and to allof us who have fought the fight.
