Malcolm
I can relate to the bad back, moving machinery in my life tore my back muscles all up and for what it's worth, I'd lie on that cold pad as Kabu does with me. Blessings my friend...

Malcom, you take it easy with that back...do take the time to just lie
flat, and if the doc or chiropractor has given you exercises to do, do them (if able to) slowly until you get used to them....I can empathize with you as about a year ago I twisted my back at the group home and it still flares up on me at times....

I feel badly for you with a injured back - muscles. I hope you can find rest and time to be 'creative' this weekend. With family, I find it's always busy.
I'm heading to Dallas (a larger city west of us) to review wedding gowns with my daughter tomorrow. and then to come home and begin packing my little 'trailer' with goods to take to my antique shoppe in the hill country (west of about 300 or so miles). You never can tell what a weekend will bring here, just ask my husband.

I hope you find time to lie flat; it will only get worse otherwise! sam

I would imagine writing stories would be more fulfilling than writing business related items...With your back I feel it's a matter of not over doing it.

nursie speaking here so pay attention.......lol
seriously though put an ice pack for 10-15 minutes across the middle vertebrae of your back and then across your neck.Too Many Hours at the computer brings trauma and the ice pack reduces the inflammation and eases the pain.Trust me it will help.
