I wonder if Prof Fry's wife was reading over his shoulder when he wrote that comment?

Some men need good advice, but they surely don't want to receive it from a wife.

Some wives need to give advice even if husbands don't need to receive it.
Advice can be a troublemaker.

Interesting post, as are the others in the blog--I have read you sometimes, even if I didn't mange to leave comments! I'm erratic on blogit, and always racing against time! Thanks very much for your note on my blog---the procedure you went through is done here, but since Ashish has less than one kidney, they're reluctant to try anything like this, and prefer some natural methods. Do keep him in your prayers. Nita.

Well, I must admit, you got me there. I really thought that you were to say something else, like free sex (I remember reading about a man who had calculated that having a wife was less expensive than having a mistress or a regular whore....). Sorry. I should have known that you are higher than this.

Can't argue with that, wives have always been contributors they just weren't given any credit for centuries

Oh, that's funny! We only THINK it's good advice....and advice isn't advice unless it's used. If it's ignored, or unwanted....it's just called 'nagging'...and there can be an unlimited supply of that, as well....! Yikes.

I don't think the bit about women's advice to husbands has changed
all that much since the dawn of history. But wives no longer have so many long isolated hours in the home to ponder ideas.
One little thing about the bottom line: when wives were home cooking healthy meals from scratch instead of grabbing take-out from fast food joints, the collective waistline was much smaller. This could be a reason for the obesity epidemic.

What kind of advice?
Yes, working women is fine by me. A blessing in a way. God knows how my father made ends meet in the 50's and 60's. My mom stayed home and whined about not having what the Jones' had - hence the phrase, I suppose. Good one Naut.

Just as I suspected. You are not only a good writer but a very shrewd man as well. Keep reminding us of our value and all the women on here will click you at least once a day.

I'm a proponent of women working in the workforce despite marriage and having children, so I like this a lot.
