Re: TAPS
Nautikos, with your assumed permission, I would like to answer Justi's comment addressed to me.  Yes, Justi, I have spent much of my life studying and meditating on the Bible, expecting the Holy Spirit to give me understanding and sustenance.  I have no problem believing the Bible is the inspired and holy word of God.  What I have never ever done is read the Koran or the Hadith or anything about Mohammed.  That is why I find these posts of Nautikos so interesting.

I hope you get some response from this comment. I have been saying this for years. It is so obvious, truly plain as the nose on one's face. We know the one who copies, this is his work. Thank you so much for posting this.

How the heck did an atheist get so involved in religion when from ancient times, people have at times used atheism as a term of abuse for religious positions they opposed. Are you searching for something, like God? LOL

Having the same roots could have lead to a much more compatible history here....but it was the "bastardization"  of those words by Mohammad, through he own "preferences", that lead to the inevitable, never ending conflict......

I agree with that;(interesting hog wash) however, you have studied the Bible a lot. I assume you have been as deeply into the OT and the New. Then if you look at the Koran you will see so vividly that this is a clear knock off with the intent and actions turned upside from the original version, down so as to be the Serpent in the Garden lie of that side. There is some 2,500 years distance in the writings and it is clear as they use the same characters and turn them around the mockery is so evident it is unreal that so few Christians buy anything to do with anything not pristine, clean, sweet and non-argumentative. I guess I am the stupid one because there are few Christians who believe God made two sides to all things. There is a Satan!!! God created all things, good and evil, how do we miss that so easily? I have no problem believing the Bible!

I am so glad that you are bringing up this important topic for discussion
in our day and age, the koran and muslims must be discussed, and we must take a look at every aspect of that religion, only because a huge element from that world is out to destroy us. and if we understand them we can be better equiped to deal with them. I have never heard anyone dispute the fact that when they say "alla" they mean the one god of abraham, jesus and any other body of work that claims to follow one god, nor is "allah in it itself" mean anything positive or negative. BUT if you kill in the name of allah than everything changes. Just like the name Jesus, may mean beautiful things to you, but when the spanish inquisition came along and killed so many people in the name of Jesus than everything changes. etc etc.

You're giving us a lot to think about with the formation of Islam.

Very interesting :-)  and I think all these  is so new to me because its written from what seems to be a completely secular point of view.  I have read commentaries before on the Koran, but they were either written from a follower side or a hater of Islam's corner.   Though it is clear you consider Mohammed to be a " not so nice person " and certainly not a prophet, your opinions come through surprisingly  objective...  as if you were a mere observer rather than a participant, and that  casts a completely different light in the situations at hand.  Keep writing and explaining my friend... I will stay and listen :-) xoxoxo

Nautikos I do not say what I am about to say with any animosity or disrespect, please understand this is not meant to be critical of you, your research nor your writing. I do believe the concepts here are so much hog wash. The writings are two sides of a coin one the light and one the dark. It is far more complicated in the basic thinking of man regardless of his worldly education and far more simplified in the concept of the theachings of the Holy Spirit.

It would be impossible to compete against the divinity of Jesus! It is unfortunate it takes a sharp turn! I do not have a problem with any name that is given to God as long as it is respectful! One of my favorite names is Yahweh! Shelly
