I'm very sorry to hear about this happening.
If it happened while you were editing, the only thing I can think of is that you may have accidentally clicked a button or pressed a key something that caused the text to be erased. If that every happens again, click the "Undo" button (second-from-the-left in the toolbar).
If it happened when you clicked the "Save" button to save your changes, that's a different issue and we'd like to know about it. Unfortunately, there's no way we can restore your edits, but we can keep it from happening in future.
