A lovely, musical poem. I wish I could sit down at a piano and just play, as my father could. I can bash out a few simple tunes without music, but I can only manage the basics.

A sad tune of love as it were but I went to the blues for they can be happy, too! This is more stunning imagery! I just adore this poem to no end! You are a gifted poet! sam

What a power you have to make us feel what you feel ...You made me so sad for that lonely stoic piano that I was playing mine all afternoon :-)  Have a wonderful week-end my dear friend and take care of you  xoxoxo

Lovely words
I'll share it with our son Ivan for whom life without a piano would be like a heart without the ability to beat in time

I love that.
I love what a good pianist can do with a piano.
Even after the orchestra/band is gone, the piano continuing alone is enough for me.
Great write.

I can hear the piano --- melancholy and soft - softest thump of the pad of each note - palpating tune.  Elyse

piano poem
Very vivid!  I enjoyed it.  A favor - give my snake poem a look.  I think it does what I wanted, but I'm not sure h;ow it comes across to others.

Some how you have reached my soul with this poem. I just had to turn the
news off my heart is so heavy but the thoughts and images linger...the piano plays on.
