You know FSI, I've been to a bank recently where you don't even face a teller, in the drive-through, instead they come up on a little TV screen.  I usually go inside if I have to do some transactions.  But most of the time that debit/ATM card is the main source.  Amazing isn't it? Elyse

our children are going to live in a different world
that is a given, but my bank still has long lines and tons of people. I wouldnt mind if the lines would get a bit shorter and less people would be there

I can't tell you the last time I've talked to a teller at my bank, I have the automated teller system. I do like it, and it's 24 hour availability isn't a bad deal.

You have stirred quite the thought for me! It may something we might not even recognize! I have been depositing funds through the ATM for a few years now! Very convenient and easy! sam

Over here it's too expensive to use banks for such services as cash withdrawal or paying bills. Of course our salaries are paid into the bank and routine tasks we manage ourselves over the net. If in need of financial advice about portfolios, loans etc you go to the bank, or ring your bank-adviser.

The minority who are not yet computer savvy pay  heavy costs; almost 4 dollars for paying a giro.

We still use cash, but rely heavily on our little plastic debit cards. My grandchildren still have money-boxes though!

The Computer Age!
It is almost scary to think that a computer can control your bank account. But in reality computers control many aspects of your life. In fact to talk to a human anymore you many times have to frustrate a computer until it switches you to a live associalte. LOL Keep Looking up! Dan
