Why do women expect men to go shopping with them? I wouldn't dream of asking a man along. When I shop I do it as a meditation. I completely lose track of time; I may not buy anything but it is the me-time I love; dreaming, roaming the sales racks; trying on shoes I will nevr afford..visualizing how a costly dress would look...the list is endless. But they say women and sport TV don't mix; definitely men and shopping don't mix!! Cambria.

She would have to be someone very special to me or I would make an excuse to not go.

going for a long ride with her should be better than switching ears on the
phone, you can talk all you want, and make it a day. I would not go with her. I spend too much and energy catering to my friend's whims. I would no longer do it, but if I did I would try to enjoy the company. The gas will probably cost more than the earrings.

Yes I have a friend who rarely calls, or if I need to call her even if she is busy she pops her phone on her shoulder and talks for a lifetime. I have begun finding a nice out and cutting those calls short. Life has a limit and I don't plan to spend too much of it in idle chatter. Nice post.

My dad's got a friend in the car wash business (you might remember Marty Goldberg). He'll call Dad four or five times a day. Luckily for Dad he'll always do the standard, "I'm on a country road. I'm losing you," before he hangs up. Marty always falls for it.

Oh you, lustorlove are just so cute. How do you go back and forth on two numb ears and you're right don't go jewellery shopping if you need a chair. I have a cousin who is somewhat like that - jewellery shopping is her rave and each time she calls me, thank God I'm actually sick so it's not an excuse and finally she gave up on me.
thank you for your visit to my blog.

I am a very patient listener
I think I inherited it from my mother and it does mean that I get into very long conversations and even longer one-way monologues!
