I've never heard of it either, Pat, but it sounds extremely readable. Thanks for the heads up. It is going on my list.

I agree
it's an absolutely fantastic book, written from such a quirky angle

So much murder these days. The world seems to be obsessed with it. The books that I'm returning to the library today are about murder. I couldn't finish either of them and I used to love a good murder mystery. I think I am sated with murder stories, movies, TV programs, news. It does sound as if that one comes from a different perspective.

I did see the movie, done well, I thought, though I didn't read the book. So hard to choose to deep-read about this sad [fad] subject matter; reality for many. However Sebold's treatment was done with angelic touch.

In view of how she got to heaven it must be a very frustrating situation for her. It sounds very readable. Thanks for your good wishes, Pat.

Pat
I haven't read it - I hadn't even heard of it! I'm
tempted to put it on my list, whose tail is growing longer by the day, much faster than I can 'bite off' at the top, so I'll resist for now...
