If everyone would seek to make a difference in their own way we would be much healthier as a people no matter where we live! sam

I don't think vague bland unity is the answer - or at least not something I would buy into.

Today just a simple drink of water to a woman who was choking (and she had multiple sclerosis) while I was standing in line...harried, hurried but when I saw her in distress, I could not think of looking away.  I showed an elderly couple - literally took them down the road (they followed me) where they needed to be to find the Social Security office...I was harried, hurried, but I could not turn my back on these 2 that looked so lost (asking for directions and no one was listening) --- You see I do things like this and I do when the time calls for me to do...like looking over and seeing a homeless man about to fall over - I went back and was going to get out of my car but, instead I called 911 - and they arrived and they assisted this man.  (and I was hurriedly traveling down the road when I saw this...)

It takes just a second sometimes in a person's life to do something to support humanity - building one step at a time, a better nation.  I agree - we should all do something to better or make a difference in our nation.  Good blog it made me ponder... Elyse

I have discovered that being on Blogit as a loving happy little furry

There are those that support one side or the other. I consider myself to support the former as opposed to the latter.

It is so important that each and every individual find some way to make a tiny bit of difference to this nation filled with fearful, depressed, needy, unhappy, harried, and apathetic people.  Making a bit of difference is what raises ones spirits, not waiting for someone else to make the difference.
