That boy seems to know how to relate to dogs in an excellent kind of way.

I'm so glad they all passed the test with flying colors.

Wiley, my friend,
I can understand your feeling. I have the same horror for snakes. No need for the cage, the doggies will be fine in a heated garage while we slip & slide down the hill! Looking forward to that!

Re:
I would have done so if it came to that, Sam, but this just HAD to work out. I could not stand in the window everyday, and I could foresee all sorts of problems if any of the dogs here had to be tied. I admit that I kept my fingers crossed while watching!

No CORNCRAKE
A burglar alarm I do not need, LOL. Have two very live ones right here, no batteries required. Thanks for coming back to read.

Excellent writing my friend, but you should know I do have Cynophobia since childhood, and was attacked by a St. Bernard once as I think I told you when we met. That meeting between boy and dog was so very well written and he is a gutsy boy. When we come tobogganing I hope to have a cage on the toboggan.LOLLove from K&W

Good for him and how nice to remain calm upon first meeting the dogs! I could envision the sizing up! Great writing, indeed! I tell you I was ready for you to come flying out of the house to save the lad! sam

Neigbours
'Can't sell you a burglar alarm? ' Very tense, quite interesting.

I love your writing...I'm a fan!!!~ I felt the anxst - the suspense - even the dog tense and sniffing the legs - the clothes of the boy and the relaxing even of the young boy when the dog bade peace by taking the treat ~ WOW --- you're so cool throughout the whole thing...such a fine person you are - and I would imagine is why the doggies are that way too. I can breathe now.  I thought of this just about all day (while I was doing chores and such around the house...I couldn't wait to get on and finish this...LOL)  Elyse

I just caught up with these three posts of yours, and they're fabulously well done, including the 'cliff hanger' in #2, lol! You have a great talent for teasing out the drama involved in your doggies' exploits...And I think you're right, judging by the kid, these neighbours look promising...
