We lost her to breast cancer.  She had great potential as director, like her husband, Elia Kazan.

Myrna Loy and Monty worked together in a 1958 film called
Lonelyhearts  (she

/09 entry).  It definitely is not a comedy.  Kind of dark, but wonderful performances from everyone.  Monty and Myrna were great as always, but Maureen Stapleton stands out in her film debut.

This is such an interesting blog...I'm sorry to have not discovered it until now. Have you done anything on Myrna Loy? I've heard she was really spunky and good with a witty comeback. What do you know?

Wow! How unfortunate to have lost her at such a young age! I still marvel at the talent that surrounded Monty! sam

This is a very cool, and educational blog!
