Re: life

Actually, I didn't care what our friends and students thought because we all know my husband is artistic and has his idiosyncracies. Apparently I wasn't clear on that point and I apologize. I used other's reactions to reinforce my astonishment at the strangeness (even for my husband) of leaving so close to midnight. Thank you for bringing that to my attention because I will now be more careful about clarity. But, I do find it odd how readers pick up on different aspects of an entry. That was not my main point at all--just a small part of the story. Must have hit a nerve for you. I do admit I was and am still a little irritated with his idea that he decided when we were leaving and didn't care for my input. Every human being has faults and love is seeing those faults quite clearly and still loving the person. But, love remains healthy when both people can express their feelings without being hurtful. So, I can appreciate that he is not out looking for a slipper and still express my thoughts when he invalidates my feelings. Quite frankly, I think that speaks of a healthy relationship. (Which, by the way, I do appreciate because I have had two previous unhealthy marriages). Again, thank you for taking the time to read and for your criticism which will help me improve my voice on this blog.

life
At least your prince is still around not searching for a slipper. Very nicely written, Old age can be fun because you don't really care a damn what people think. Obviously you have not reached that stage yet, when you do enjoy. This is not meant to be rude, if it sounds so sorry.
