Naut sad for those people, loss and their families  and sadder that Gore keeps lining green with regards of this warming??? It's near snow temp this morning here in Texas - I'm soon to go out and brave the winds and nearing ice conditions - but, I'm waiting for the warming to come back ---- guess I had best get my boots pulled up and get out there - cause it looks like it may freeze over - All in all, Have a Merry Christmas - to you and yours  Elyse

I remember the winter of '52, we had three feet of snow on all the
roads, drifts up to 15' high, and from our little town of Salkum in the Cascade foothills of western Washington, nobody was going anywhere. So we did the best we could. The old guy who ran the snowplow took a couple feet off the road going up Ivy's hill, someone dug out an old horse-drawn sled out of his barn, folks dragged in wood from their back-porch woodpiles, we had a monster campfire and everyone in our half-mile went sledding. There was hot cocoa in many a thermos, and it was an all-day party.

What a lot of Wimps those Pols are. Dying when it is only minus 20
why we have just finished a week of that temperature here and thought we may clear the snow off the deck and take tea and sandwiches out there.

Nautikos. Irony
Yes, it is ironic isn't it that during COP15 the weather turned colder than it has been for many, many years. The results of the conference were disappointing and does anybody really dare to calculate the cost of the circus in terms of energy waste?

Crazy idea of the day: Having the technology to meet each other on line, why not stage future COPs in Cyberspace-land and save time and energy?

Have a time and energy-saving day. Thanks for your visit.

How devastating on the weather. Gore me to death, he invented the internet, so I am told by him. A self proclaimed expert is dangerous, something similar to global warming when it is so cold the brass is tough on the witches bosom in say, January!  So I guess he knows it all, and he will always Gore me to death. lol Shelly
