This was a special treat for me! I miss those days! As mine got older I had them programmed to make the coffee before arousing me! Just delightful! I am so pleased you are part of our little community of writers! Such a marvelous addition! Merry Christmas to you and yours! sam

LizaM Christmas morning.
Liza being woken up like that was so much better than the sound of an alarm clock. Even cold coffee must have been delicious in circumstances like that. I hope this year's Christmas morning will be equally pleasurable and memorable. A very merry Christmas!

A wonderful write that was, I loved the straw in the coffee and the spill  that really would make me uptight. The children are all long gone now but you woke up the memories and have a †Merry Christmas†

thank you for sharing this
The description had me laughing in delight and remembering back to when I was that excited by Christmas.  My niece is currently in full suck up mode and will do anything for anyone who might buy her presents.  A couple of years ago some kids at school told her Santa doesn't exist so when she asked me I thought about it and told her that it must be because he doesn't visit their house   But her belief is preserved for a little longer.  Wonderfully written, thank you
