I don't think it's available.
but just in case it is, the title is Kirst. Author's name is Klaus Haltmayer. "The first staged reading of Kirst was presented in 1992 by Old Pueblo Playwrights in Tucson, Arizona."

What happened to his fiancée? Was she killed in the accident? His indomitable will to write in spite of his handicap is admirable.
