we use the mute button a lot but yes how annoying just when one is
really enjoying their fav. programme with a comfy doze and the loud stupid commercial  ruins everything. Hate it.

Yah, I also heard that . . . the mute button is the best invention invented, in my opinion.  At least we don't have nearly as many real salespeople knocking loudly at our doors these days.   Wonder if the loud-commercials-lobbyists will knock this suggestion out of the running . . .

I hope it was not just a dream!
I decided long ago never ever to buy anything sold by Billy Mays simply because he shouted at me.  American commercials are almost always shouted, even at low volume.  It seems to me, Canadian commercials that cross the border via cable, don't shout nearly as much.

I haven't seen that - but then again, it's not relevant to me. I regularly press the 'mute' button when the commercials come on...
