First is more compact, but is missing the images of the lost
I would bring those in under the same lighthouse theme, suggesting ships seeking a harbor.
One of my favorite gospel songs "Master, The Tempest is Raging" has a similar theme.

Re: janey
abanerjee - "more from the heart" I think this may be true. My thoughts were scattered but my heart sorted it all out. Sometimes I just "think" too much. I appreciate your input. Thanks.

I see the rewrite even more from the heart since you say you gathered things that were scattered in the earlier version. Hey, excellent, Of Course!!!

You are very welcome! Any time I can help let me know! I will give a fair assessment so that the poem reveals it fullest imagery! On the study of numbers, you can click on BibleStudy.com and it will take you to the who portion dealing with the number I have cited! sam

Re: Thank you for your comment!
Sam, I really appreciate your taking the time to compare both poems. I would like to become better at writing poetry. I have such a long way to go, so your input really does help me along. I value your input. Thanks again.
