BINGO! Sam is right! It is the money. Just look at why John Edwards said he cheated...he thought he could do anything he wanted. Obviously the money and fame are to blame. Some people can handle it but very few. It is hard for me to feel any sympathy towards Cheetah (Tiger) Woods.

Re: Sam444
I think money changes people! It gives them a false sense of power. You make an excellent point of them being themselves. As for Tiger, nothing would have mattered had he not been married. We want him to succeed where many of us have failed. We like the image of the perfect couple, if only in our minds. I remember the golf commentators wondering when Sam Alexis was going to run out on the green to hug her dad after a win. We put Tiger on a pedestal and he has only failed his family! He has a chance to grow from this. But personally, I couldn't stay with him if it were me. It just rips apart trust in a marriage. And to conclude, there really isn't a difference at the end of the day, we just don't don't embrace it. I do not want him ruined over for he is a sports figure in my mind and I am forever a fan. No one needs to be fooled either, Tiger knew what he was doing, the cost if it were discovered, but no one believes they are going to get caught! But they do! No apologies are ever offered until one is exposed, and people will keep doing what they are doing until something or someone says stop! This time around he needs to surround himself with quality people, up and down, the hell with the yes men, they are too detrimental! sam

When will they simply be themselves? Why is there a difference?

Darson,
They spend billions to craft these images, they earn billions when these images collapse. And nobody gets hurt? And I have no clue?

If home is where the heart is, that is what will suffer. And nothing can make up for the failure of the home. Money and prestige can't even touch it. Just ask every miserable celeb.

Re: Sam444,
Glenn, he holds fast to his private business and I don't think he is going to say anything! He's still a young man and I think he can repair his integrity! I am disappointed because he may have thrown the best thing away, his family! It is better than anything he can buy with money! He has been misquoted in the past and he may be fearful of saying anything because he will get crucified! It will never be enough! sam

Sam444,
I agree with you on every point. I am disappointed that he has not come forward. His talent is not the issue.Money and fame will not replace his lost integrity.

I have been a fan of Tiger Woods from the onset! His personal life is his own business. I remain a stalwart and true fan! He is the greatest golfer to play the game and when his playing days are done his records will stand for more than a century, some may never be broken! I have had my own transgressions and would not cast a stone in his direction! I do know that he built an empire in 12 short years! It has taken its toll. He is still a very young man and he needs to get back on the course and in the sports pages where he belongs! This media frenzy is beyond appalling! sam
