The Christmas tree is a pagan carry-over tradition, and
maybe could, should, or would be displayed as such.  Seems weird to think that a tree, which is a cooling agent in this overheated world, would be offensive to folks attending a climate control conference. I guess there won't be any gift-wrapped sex workers for the delegates, either. Blue Christmas?

It's interesting to think that the custom of one "tribe" (i.e. Christians) can offend other "tribes" (non-Christians). As far as I know, every time I asked a "non-Christians" about the Xmas trees: they love it! It adds some lights to this otherwise morose season...And by the way, the origin of the decorated firtree is as pagan as can be!

Perhaps they should have told the hotel owners to arrange "any kind of festivities for your esteemed guests as long as they are not called by their proper name."
