Re:
I am sure she has learned her lesson and he wont be allowed around here as long as I am here, she has a job but no work to give her.  She is at court right now to get the restraining order, but since they removed the threats from his case then he will be released on Fri, I have fought as long as I can to get her to take any thing to just hang onto her car, who knows what is next

if decisions are not made with thought, then there is alot of closing the barn door when the horses have already gotten out.

I am not sure a restrainging order will fix the problem since your daughter is a fixer.  Doesn't sound like she will give up on this guy, the question is will he give up on her.

The job situation is awful, and i know many people here that cannot find jobs, and some that even though they could get a min. wage job, will not.  I guess it all depends on how much you need the money.

If you don't have a car there are always bicycles, buses, taxis, friends, mom, brothers, sharing a ride and if all else fails walking.  Where there is a will there is a way.

I have a son who likes to go about the world without a care! He doesn't take care of business and he recently got pulled over and cited for no insurance, speeding, and the list goes on! By the time he was done with an attorney, another long story of not taking care of business, court costs it was $1,850, notwithstanding the bail, another long story, again not taking care of business, and towing, he gave away three weeks of fishing in the Bering Sea from last season! Then his car stopped running and it was too costly to fix it, then his license was suspended and he had to get an sr22 insurance, and then reinstate his license! And I will tell you right now, NONE of this needed to happen! The kick in the butt with the whole thing is that he was taking a friend to work when this happened. He got pulled out of the middle of the flow of traffic and cited! What I am trying to say is that these children get themselves into fixes! I immediately told he needed to get them fixed, stop whining about them, and start anew! Things happen but they must fix them, themselves, and move forward. The first thing my son did was borrow a bicycle until he fixed things! Your daughter can have all kinds of reasons why things don't occur or why they occur, but tickets are inexcusable in my opinion! If it is not legal to be on the road it needs to be in the driveway because too many tickets come about when they are not!

It is crazy about the threatening guy! My goodness, and I have so little faith in restraining orders, but they are necessary! I will pray for your daughter to remain safe and that this man leaves her alone.

NO ENABLING!!! TOUGH LOVE! I don't know if it is all that effective but my son knows I don't listen to whining; I am a POA person! sam

Things just do not seem to be going your way, do they.
I hope that will change and things will start looking up for you.

Ah Yes...Liberal Attorneys

Nothing like our liberal court system is it. I could write a book on this due to my daughter being shaken by a so-called daycare sitter 11 years ago when she was only 5 months old.

I am so sorry you had to go through this but this is our liberal system. It is full of liberal attorney's who have no desire for what is right except they just want the money when they fully well know their client is guilty.

I agree. A misdemeanor is not enough in this case but we live in a liberal world.
