I didn't even realize that I was getting behind because the titles of the posts are so similar. You are so very readable. Even when your posts are long, technical, and/or expoundatory, they are very interesting and pull the reader into the writing and leave them wanting more. In this case, I already have another one to read.

I reflected throughout with your opening statement! It is troubling for it takes away from the thought of living in love and respecting those of different thought! It is just damn scary at times what religions will profess in the name of God! But I believe He loves everyone and would not tolerate anyone or group going against that! That is why I take great comfort in knowing 'Vengeance is mine,' says the Lord! Shelly

Yes, Naut - tolerating the intolerant is a paradox most people don't recognize as a problem - particularly those on the extreme left in our own society. (I lean left, but haven't totally fallen over!! :) I look forward to future, scholarly posts.....Mal

"Less well known is the paradox of tolerance: Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them."
Hear, hear, another well written post my friend even if I am a tolerant Christian with an atheist/agnostic friend.
