Whoah......! When you wrote that he felt 'warmth for the first time'....so sad, really. Why do some married people do this to each other? Marriage is to be enjoyed, not...endured! Great, great post!

Pat absolutely chilling. My first MIL. was like that woman.
Her husband tried twice to kill himself....the second was when R. and I were to be married because he would be left alone with her. He was happy to spend months in a mental intitution.
How well you have written this. I salute your talent...once again.
