How interesting Nita that your entire education was with the nuns. Mine primary years were in convents and then the franciscan nuns. It's no wonder you know so much about the faith.

Hi Nita, I love Advent. Christmas has become too commericalized, when
Jesus is the real gift of Christmas.

Over here Advent means Christmas calendars for children with a gift for every day until Christmas. The religious elements are overshadowed by the commercial.
Nita my very best wishes for a peaceful day. Thanks for visiting!

snowview, Advent season is special, and unfortunately overlooked by
many people who center in on Christmas Day alone...they miss so much in the process, in my opinion anyways...

I am about to buy the little calendar, the one with Bible quotations and one chocolate in each window that is opened each day. Chocolate helps me to remember, ha.

Thank you for that post, even as a Catholic myself I never did understand many of the feasts and celebrations and I had a sister that was a nun. She used to say angrily" "You don't believe" fact is I believbe in Jesus having been here alright, always have, but religion just added to many things to focus on other than His simple message of Love.
