MAKE A BIG FUSS OVER THIS CREDIT CARD THING
THEY PUT YOU ON REALLY EARLY HOURS  WHEN THERE IS NO ONE THERE RIGHT. sO YOU CAN'T GET THE CREDIT CARDS SIGNED IF THERE ARE NO SHOPPERS SO DON'T TAKE THIS TREATMENT. TELL THEM IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT THEY ARE TREATING YOU WRONG.dON'T RESIGN........GIVE 'EM AS GOOD AS THEY GIVE YOU....THEN THEY WILL LET GO OF YOU.

Your kids need to pull their own weight! I have a son who likes to come in and not help like he should and I have to make him pull his weight! That's your ticket to time off for the holidays for me! sam

For a net profit of 40 dollars a week + all the frustration I find it difficult to understand why you bother to work for Sears. However I do not know what you can buy for 40 dollars in your country. Does the 40 dollars make a real difference to your economy?

Yep..maybe another part time job would do it. Seems that's becoming the norm these days with many businesses, part time work only. Good luck Lustorlove,  whatever you decide.

I have a zillion ideas as to how to get laid off given all the experiences I know my father has had with employees. Unfortunately I don't think those would be good for the old resume.

well i thought that was what you wanted to get fired so you could collect unemployment. i do not know how one could go about being layed off.  and if you are only working one day a week, you still have time to go looking.  Its never easy knowing exactly what we want.

Write her a sweet letter saying: Dear Boss. I love working at Sears and hope to become your most valued employee. With your coaching I know I can be great. I however can not work short shifts, as the gas costs X amount round trip. Please assign me one day a week for nine hours, as this will allow me to afford continuing my career with Sears.

Suck up bring the boss food and put your applications everywhere closer to home, maybe you and daughter can combine some Christmas part time work to get through the holidays

best of luck
