Hello Darson
I enjoyed the read and would have wanted to, also, the eat and the treat. It, however, reminded me of a story I once read about COWs - Corpulent Opulent Women, filthy rich and fat women .

Yep. I have noticed this. The Sisters also work out for two plus hours per day, burning over 1200 calories per workout. I wish we burned more calories from talking....I'd be waaaay thin, if that were the case!

Ha ha....my dream job is to be a travelling food journalist....if I made you hungry, maybe my skills are improving! Right now I'm thinking of that prime rib that was encrusted with sea salt and rosemary, and the smokey-ness of the au jus....mmmmm. I want more!

It is. I've been among those ranks off and on. Can't imagine how much valuable time I've wasted.

fat free stuff makes me crazy
I love this post, but  have .noticed that most of the fat people I know eat fat free only, So I have made it a point to stay away from fat free if I can, at times its just not possible cause EVERYTHING is fat free.

Wonderful contrast & comparison --
why, now, do I have the urge to run to the fridge and find something to munch?

Beautifully done, Darson. You can truthfully say you celebrated from one extreme to the other, lol! Could feel the warmth in the place - the one where the delicious smell was food. (as you can tell - I 'm not a fat free enthusiast.)

Everywhere I look there are so many people obsessing over their looks. I find it so sad.

....I did...! And I rather feel like a success...I successfully didn't stress out about calories. Like I've heard, supposedly they don't count on Turkey Day...

We are a bit obsessed with low fat this and fat free that! It's a pity not to take time out at parties and eat what you want to without feeling a failure the next day.

And how, exactly, does one go about 'reprogramming' the brain? Sheesh, as if we don't have enough wrong with us....!

I am so happy I do not have a problem with food, at least in consumption! I only eat when I get tired of my stomach growling! lol But it was very festive for you! sam

Sounds like you had a great holiday Darson...

I was watching some doctor specialist on this subject that says that people who are fat have brains that are programmed to eat anything they see with salt, sugar and/or fat (like a whole plate of cookies or a whole bag of potato chips) until it is gone.  He says it is not a matter of will power but of brain programming and that they will not be able to beat it until their brains are re-programmed.  That sounds bad to me, if he is right.
