Lustor
Before I read the other comments I was about to say something similar to Taps.  I think many people place far too much emphasis on the holidays – both Thanksgiving and Christmas.  As my husband says, “why does it take Christmas to get everyone together for a family dinner?  Why don’t we just do it several times a year?”  So enjoy your day off, read a good book, or watch some movies.  Pamper yourself.  I used to do that every Christmas day when my daughter would go off to be with her father.  But having your favorite foods in the fridge so you can nibble all day is must (and yes, as Taps said, some wine)

lustorlove, kabu has some good advice there.  Celebrate in your heart sweetie, and do whatever pleases you.  May you have a wonderful day.
