I wonder how the jailers figured out their prisoners had taken
a little jaunt to town? If the cons had time and the privacy to get out a sealed window and dig under a fence, the corrections officers must have been asleep.

Hey - it should be regarded as a business venture. With smoking outlawed in jails - the pack is worth more than pot nowadays! That lawyer bit was your little jag on us, wasn't it Naut? Please tell me it was...

==== Naut ~ you know what I'm going to ask don't you?  Happy Thanksgiving from Texas and belated wishes --- I will slice a piece of pecan or sweet potato pie and eat both slices in honor of you and this great newsy blog of yours  ~ Elyse

I don't know who is worse, the inmates who "stepped out" for some smokes,
or their dipstick lawyer making lame-brained excuses for them... -...

My husband is from Middle Tenn. and ESCAPED that life!  I'm not surprised at all about this tidbit of yours, Naut!

There you go, the old slogan, "I'd walk a mile for a camel," paying for them, another story! I can't believe they weren't praised for returning; a homecoming parade in Cell Block D would have been appropriate! I heard that the inmates said, There's no place like Rome, er,  home! lol I adore stupid criminals!  They will be doing a little more for many Shelly BTW, I am an emerald girl! lol

Why in the world did they come back?

You've got to understand them: they were just starting a little business inside, you know for practice, to learn the ropes for when they'll be out and in real business outside!
