Probably it was Wordsworth's way of dealing with the unanswerable questions on love. Thanks for your visit.

Hi Abanerjee !
I did not have the time to read the poems but I enjoyed your piece about them. I wish I could explore the gems that you showcase everyday but in my situation I cannot be a chooser.

...prior to the 20th century's advances in medicine, i think the relationship with death must have been much different...no hospitals to ship loved ones off to to be hooked up to i.v.s, monitors, morphine to ease the suffering...no insulation from their agonies...makes me shudder...there are many things to be thankful for...moon

Abanerjee - Woodworth's poems on Lucy is just lovely and to think of her as mysterious as she sounds you have made perfect in your summary.

You are so right... Woodworth speaks of Lucy as if he were speaking of Love for love encompasess all... happiness and sadness ... life and death and its an integral part of nature. Love is everything as Lucy seems to be. Be well xoxoxo
