Sinome, I marvel at that one golden leaf or crimson leaf when they come
tumbling to the ground as the final "survivors"..

...they have held on and done well.. it reminds me of that passage in "Bambi" where the last leaves are about to fall and wonder what awaits them....your poem is even more poignant than that little passage.

Now I am feeling guilty for I look for the leaf to put in my flower beds, right down to the last one! But, not I have another viewpoint and this is more precious! I am doing sort of okay! I have battled a severe migraine that awakens me in the night! Eight straight days now! Brother, where is the relief! How are you healing? Love you! sammie

Lovely
it reminded me of that shot in American Beauty where the empty packet drifts through the trees. Not natural I know but beautiful none the less

So beautiful and
exactly what I needed this morning. The beauty of life and the beauty of transition and the beauty of those things left behind to bring us wonderful memories.

Sinome, this is simply amazing!
What a lovely thought! The leaf, when it detaches itself from the branch does not even so much as leave a scar. That is attaining to maturity, attaining to culmination, to death without complaint, and yet the leaf separated has an elegance as you have likened it to its own life after death. A most beautiful teaching for man to learn from. Yet again you swell my heart

Simple beauty...for a beautiful heart like yours "floating on a leaf", I love this Sinome. Embracing the little things is what it's all about.
