That was fast! 6 days
I just received a call from Mom. Ray passed away yesterday morning. The 19th. He didn't have cancer he had problems with his bowels. He had a colostomy. his food wasn't digesting as it should. When he went to the Dr. they called in hospice. The next day they had his bed. And started him on morphine. It is so much cheeper to call in hospice, than order all of the test and treatments needed to keep a man alive.

They get one set amount for one day up until six weeks. after six weeks the only get half of the amount.

I didn't know that; it's the same amount, no matter how long or short Hospice's stay? Interesting....
