Re: Elyse!
THe Iguana came after the milk snake got loose and we think the golden retrievers ate it...Yes I tried to draw the line...but, my husband the ex Eagle Scout, Major and on and on, decided that the boy certainly needed to experience..and let me tell you - it was an experience that I will never forget and now you've given me inspiration to blog on that one day. LOL... ~ The Iguana was "Iggy" (how original eh?) and it was pretty.  I didn't mind, except, no I didn't play with him.  I just kept him in a pretty large cage...I prettied up his life 'round him.  However, it's a long story and it's all a blur - but, eventually Iggy caught pneumonia and passed.   I was sad of course, but, he's in a better place I think.  ~ Elyse thinking an Iguana is not really for everyone.  LOL ~

Okay, that really made me laugh! For the record, I WOULD LOVE to have a dog! We are postponing the adoption until we're sure where we are going to be living, having been on the fence about moving or not. And yes, I'm sooo glad it wasn't a mink; I've heard they bite...do you know someone that owns a mink? Creepy little critters....!

Elyse!
Yep....Daisy and I are a team now....! ...How on earth did you do an iguana? I think I might draw the line at reptillia....

Firstly: What is wrong with a dog, even one of those tiny ones that look like ferrets?

and

Secondly: At least it wasn't a mink, those things are evil.

Great entry by the way, fun to read.

Ah Darson...I always wondered what it would be like to have a ferret as a pet.  One time I thought of it but, I just couldn't do it.  I had an Iguana once --- but it didn't survive long.  The exotic pets make me a bit nervous because I feel like they need much more care? At any point I respect and just adore how accepting you are truly ~ awww Elyse

I think Daisy would just love a nice three-storied cage, placed in the hallway so she can get lots of interaction from passersby...not a cramped bathroom...perhaps she'll get that for Christmas, too. And Pat, I KNOW!....She couldn't have been THAT perfect....I think I've got her number, all right...she was just all into looking nice, not being nice....me, I'm the other way around....!

Apparently it wouldn't do any good to let the
darling adorable critter "run free." Himself replaced the one who died under suspicious circumstances, so he'd most likely find a third. I've been told that some animals feel safer if they have a secure cage -- my daughter has crate-trained her Yorkie. I'm not sure if ferrets are among those who enjoy that kind of security. I'm still snickering about Ms Perfect and her poisonous attitude.

...Apparently, she just 'wasn't that into him'...the only things I know about her is that she didn't do much housework, had multiple sets of twins, got immediate fibramyalgia and chronic fatigue when asked to get a job (since she wasn't happy at home, I guess), and wound up on the couch for a couple of years. BUT she was pretty, etc...so that makes it all okay...wow the things the beautiful can get away with....I wouldn't last a week trying to pull that garbage off...and I'm all right that way...the guilt for the performance alone would eat me up. And as far as the ferret; I think she and I were both on the same page with that; she was just sneakier than I am. That, and I wouldn't poison a critter (other than mice or rats)...it would just be allowed to 'run free'...into the wild...
