What's wrong with "normal". Not all eccentrics are good writers, if they are writers at all and nobody in an alcoholic fog can pull off 36.000 words. Be as you are comfortable to be.

Too much sex/not enough sex/alchohol/no alchohol etc, etc can be problems, but what on earth have they got to do with writing? Think of the Bronte sisters, they wrote brilliantly, but I cannot imagine them having drunken, sexual orgies in the middle of the Yorkshire moors.

In case you did not know it Pat, I'm one of your fans!

Re: Nautikos, June was obviously talking about writers of children's books
I think you're on to something there, Naut.

Re: WileyJohn: I don't know about your sex life or drinking habits...
These days my sex life is non-existent, and even though "they say" an ounce of alcohol a day is good for the average person, I keep forgetting to take that medicine. Maybe if I'd stop off at the Stagger Inn once in a while I could develop some neurosis-building contacts.

Re: Azur --I wonder what June defines as TOO MUCH SEX

Well, I could quote exactly what she said since I've heard it at least fifty times, usually at the library or Mickey D's even when there were children in hearing distance. "I've never had an orgasm with a man," she says, shielding her mouth with her hand like it's a secret.  So I'm concluding (maybe erroneously) that any at all is too much.

PatB
Well I don't know about your sex life or drinking habits but I do know you're a hell of a writer so maybe it's that pithy eye of TAPS that makes you the writer extraordinaire

Neurotic? Too much booze and sex? Obviously, June was talking about the writers of children's books...

Re: TAPS: I didn't mean to screw up the works...
No worries, Taps. It's fine. I'm both surprised and flattered, and thanks again for the kind words.

So sorry if I threw a wrench in your cog.  I didn't mean to screw up the works.  What can I do now?
