I say Amen to the guardian angel! This was an exciting trip, so jam packed! I think the what ifs are simply that! It seems as though it was meant to be as well! Welcome to Blogit! sam

What at exciting story! I'm a bit sceptical about guardian angels. My theory is that the world is less dangerous than many people believe. You sound like an open, friendly and positive person; you get what you give.

Welcome to Blogit! I look forward to reading your next post.

Re: work permit
Hi there...thanks for reading! It depends on what you are doing for work...for the time I was in France, I didn't need a permit because it had not been 90 days. Had I gotten a teaching job, most schools help with getting a work visa, though sometimes it means either going back to the states, or having someone there go to the embassy as a legal representative, and that requires a notary and lots of trouble....Currently I am in Switzerland and even though I am working (I ended up getting on a volleyball team after all!), I am on a tourist visa because it will most likely be for less than 90 days. Girls who get on teams and stay for longer do get work visas too, but it is usually something that the club takes care of. One of (many) perks with making it in the pro circuit......And, though it's not foolproof, one way to avoid the hassle of getting a work permit is to go to a non-EU country (Switzerland for example), every 89 days and get just restamped....them I think your 90 days starts over. But again, that's not foolproof, and I'm sure there are catches.

Ciao!

Light a candle for your guardian angel. Just curious though: how do you manage to get a work permit in Europe?

My mom used to say
that I kept my guardian angel busy.  Yours also must be tired.
