Wordsworth certainly had an extraordinary way of looking at poetry. For me when I read poetry it's like food for my soul.

Ah~ Wordsworth --- truly another great poet that I would love to have sat beside and just studied from...listened to.  His words - his verse - his inspiration is out of this world to me.  and yes, I have to agree, the more humble, the more rustic --- definitely is when our souls are in the deepest touch of where God -Divinity wants us to be...It's a gift to be as near one with nature...I believe this in my heart.  I also believe that yes, a Poet can be somewhat - a Philospher - a dreamer - an idealist and even I find, altruistic?  Ah, sweet ecstasy ~ This blog simply made me smile and has me looking now for my Wordsworth books --- Bravo, my dear Aba for once again --- gifting all with your brilliant studies.  ~ Elyse

Your love for the written word is so obvious; tell me that you've studied literature...! If so, I am completely envious. It is terrific to visit your posts and become more educated at such things. The writers you speak of are some of my favorites.

The close is perfect! But I liked this as well, But, despite the feeling that he possesses, the poet is a philosophic thinker who recollects, reflects and selects! I agree with your view on the position of the ego! It works famously for me! For I care not the slant because I am backed up by a greater force that works through me! sam

Hi Abanerjee, I believe that Woodsworth's account of a poet is so true..they are full of sensivities and hence can hold the attention of an emotive audience, don't you think? Loved this write of yours.
