it shows GM's loyalty to this country -- mainly nil
planety of other businesses doing the same and have been for decades.
and it is our own that is hurting the rest of us.
and the question then is raised -- why buy at Wal-Mart when basically they are putting Americans out of work.

Our "leaders" have no idea what they are doing most of the time; so I've quit speculating. In about another day something else will come along, screaming, screaming --"feed me". And they will. Then when the bill comes, all of them have to go to the bathroom suddenly, and guess who gets stuck with the tab again? joab

The Opel thing is especially interesting in this respect. Magna, our huge Canadian auto-parts manufacturer, was willing to buy Opel, with financial help from the German government. (They knew better than to ask for money from Canadian taxpayers, lol.)
The deal was virtually done, but then, at the last moment, GM decided not to sell. As a result, there probably won't be any money from the German government either.
I guess Fritz Henderson has decided that, with all the money from US taxpayers, they can get back to business as usual...
