Seeing John Jakes name brought back memories I guess you could call it. Years ago, I entered a writing contest that Books A million had going on and I wrote about how I thought ''My Sister Should be Queen For A day,365 Days A Year." I was new to all this writing business. I was picked number 15 out of 300 writers and John Jakes sent me a little card telling me to keep up the good work or something to that effect. I didn't win anything but just to know I was acknowledged so to speak meant a lot to me at that time.
