Thank you Samantha! Don't you believe that most things have a way of working themselves out? Something like;everything works for your good...if only just for the learning factor...thanks for reading, my friend.

I'll have to blog sometime about what they did with leftovers...quite creative....just not edible....! It did get worse, if you can believe that...! And yes, I believe we're kin for sure!....did you happen to have a funny last name? Because that would be proof.....! Oh, and please pass the kidneys.....

You are quite welcome to do that, my friend! God is so good; he fills in what gaps we might have had in the nurturing process...there have been many, many dear women that have stepped right up to the plate...and I'm so grateful! Likewise, my children now have a fantastic father figure in my Husband....it's that gap thing, again. Hugs to you, too, Kabu!

I am literally --- laughing 'til tears are running down.  I do not do that Darson...not usually --- it has to be the best entertainment for me - the best to move my emotions.  YOU are an excellent writer.   ~ and I promised we must be kin in some way, because I so remember the times I had to sit for hours because I did not like certain dishes my mother, could not seem to master...aka gumbo (cajun gumbo...my Father being Louisiana cajun french was the only one that could make this speciality...) Mamma's gumbo was so weirdly textured and she'd put things like eggs and chunks of wha??? meats...LOL...and when she cooked kidneys?  ~ no please...LOL ~

Your account is great and just simply is one to remember.  Oh you fill my heart with joy~Elyse

You are a joy to read because your writing is superb and I lived a lot of that. I also was a 'flicker' LOL. Mostly though Margaret and I tucked our food up under the corners of the old oak dining room table because there was a flat corner support there. You are a wonderful writer and I hope you're saving youjr material luv.

Your poor Mum she just wasn't prepared at all and then your Dad obviously
enjoys bland food. His mother's rich spicy recipes were probably a night mare forhim as a child. Sometimes when I read your stories, so well written, I just want to mother you with a big hug.

It's okay! As long as you allow people to leave the table when they want to, you're fine!

My little sister Hildy did that. I should have!!! Isn't it nice to be grown-up and eat exactly what we want?! Thank you, Taps!

My dad learned early on that when I didn't want something I would gag, heave, retch and vomit in my plate and he couldn't stand that, so I would be excused while my siblings had to sit there for hours and clean up their plates while I played.
