'Harsh winter of life' is a beautiful but sad way of describing old age. My own experience so far is that apart from the aches and pains etc old age has brought me more self-confidence and tranquility which makes up for all the disadvantages. However we never know what horrors are in store for us; luckily. Best wishes and thanks to you.
