Nobel Prize
I think the prize is a guilty man's attempt to mitigate the explosive he turned loose on a world that has "honed" it even more.  How ironic that his name was Nobel.  Sorry, but I do have some prejudices.  joab

Actually X-man....your President is following a path that would make Nixon look like a saint.   Enemies list, trying to suppress Fox News, national police force "greater than our military".    We will stop him....."Yes We Can"!

I have been reading your posts for a long time. I only usually comment

at the silly ones for I like to keep my blogit comments light and loving, I am very fond of this community.

I thought it silly that the Nobel prize was awarded before a man had even had a chance to show what and who he was. Almost like a blackmail....see now you have to live up to our expectations. Of course that won't work. As an outsider it is none of my business how you scrap and squabble in your country, or what you think of your leaders, but I do feel proud to be an Alli  with a nation that has won so many Nobel prizes this year.

Admitted -- other sitting presidents have received the prize
what you are saying is that they should have declined it.

but what you are not seeing is the intent of the passage.

Mainly having to do with titles, such as duke, or prince or such -- and possibly monetary compensation for such.

In other words, conflict of interest, where the recipient has split allegiance.

The present situation is as far removed from such as east is from west.  It couldn't be farther removed.

Again, what we have here are ridiculous attempts at defamation of character.

What conservatives (and it seems it's what they are known for) are embarking on is some of the greatest ugliness in the history of our country.

You are indeed following in the great tradition of Richard Nixon and Rush Limbaugh.

I understand the idiocy of your post.

There is nothing to it.

You are making something out of nothing as usual.

Re: Corbin
On the previous post....I thought I was using English.....but which one?    I would try and respond, but if he didn't understand the post.....how would he understand the comment? LOL

Corbin

Verrry interesting! To me, awarding Obama the Peace Prize as an 'encouragement to action' rather than as a reward for something accomplished was always bizarre, but I was obviously not aware of the ramifications as far as US law is concerned.

But I suspect the whole issue will somehow be swept under some of the many Washington carpets, and the media can be relied upon to remain silent...

And, as is so often the case, the previous comment to this post misses the point...completely...

Ask all who received the Nobel, presidents, etc., then to return it.
in other words this is tupidity (your objection) of the highest degree.

another example of mindless, blind hatred for a man who wants to make things better in the country and in the world and has to work harder than he should to right the wrongs of the previous corrupt administration.
