                    TAPS, yes, it is a tumble of rock where the river runs through, 
                
                but there are easily accessed trails for the hard of walking along either side. On the northern side, the walk is the old towpath by the remnants of the B&O Canal, so it is wide and smooth.  But further down is the area called the 'goat trail' or the 'goat rocks.'
  When I was in college, geological ages ago, the geology class I was in took a week-long field trip to this park, and we clambered about on the rocks at the river's edge, mapping the geology and investigating in the rocks the geologic history of the area. I remember mostly what great fun that was!
