Shamasehar
OM, the primordial sound when pronounced, is the only one which emanates without the tongue touching any part of the palate. Amen, aameen (of the Muslim prayer) too, comes from OM, so also does omni - omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent. Intersetingly, this pure sound is beyond meaning but with all its powers of rejuvenating. Reminds me of the six-syllabled Buddhist mantra - Om Mani Padme Hum.
