A beautiful image. I bought lotus oil in Sri Lanka - it's the most gorgeous scent in the entire universe.

shobana, very true..that "natural" love, which we can still pen mountains
of prose or poetry about, is the one that lasts forever.

...the comparison to the lotus flower is perfect...

Hi Shobs
I am reminded of the qualities of the lotus leaf and as to why it is considered a spiritual symbol in various myths and religions. It grows in the dirt, the swampy mud waters, and despite being in the waters not a drop is able to wet it. Droplets roll out and the leaf remains untouched, similar as in the worldly things the sages remain untouched, or for that matter the oceans, the level of the water remains exacltly the same whether the rivers empty themselves or not, in flood and in drought. So your comparison of love as pure as the lotus leaf is both very significant and apt. KUdos!

How stunning to pick the lotus leaf for your simile! It has amazing properties, self cleaning, resilient and symbolizes purity! And so this lines gives great impetus to the framing and the eternalness of being together through this line:
The day we met a miracle How utterly awesome! There are many other lines, but I have always had a soft spot for a miracle! They happen everyday but are still so special! Grand poem my Shobana! And how about that, I caught you within five minutes of posting, a record for me no doubt! I love you, too! sam
