Re: Elinjo
Thank you for your thoughts and comment. I guess globalisation really is a double-edged sword that has shaped a lot of us into beings which belong to none and, at the same time, more than just one culture. This era that we live in has really brought to us a wider sense of belonging than it was a few decades back..

I can see how Blogiteers can easily spend a lot of time here as so many inspiring and thought-provoking posts worth reading every day, every hour.. The only thing that parts me from this computer is my kids' daily schedule which I still need to closely keep up with..

I have been in the same situation (considering leaving Blogit) twice already now (I took a few months break once), and I might find myself in the same situation again in the future.. each time, the only reason I decide to stay is all the friends I have here.. friends I have never met in person but feel so close and so supportive..

You have shared a lot of your knowledge here in Blogit and if you decide to leave, I will definitely miss all the thought-sharing I've had with you. However, as long as you have your blogspot (one day you might move on to having your own domain) and email, we will surely be in touch..

Orcalion it is always a great pleasure to read your thoughtful and thought inspiring blogs. Whether we recognize it or not we are victims and beneficiaries of globablisation. I feel a victim in the sense of not really belonging anywhere at all and at times this  detachment makes me feel very lonely. On the other hand it is a great advantage to be able to jump from one culture to the other and not feel too lost. It is a comfort to share my thoughts with people like you and Snowview. My subscription to Blogit expires next month and I am in two minds whether to renew it, because really I spend more time here than I should. However valuable meetings with people like you will probably keep me here.
