I belonged to a debating society at school and even went in for a competition. I remember how my legs shook, but cannot remember whether I won a prize or not. We have a toastmaster's club here too.

Maybe at some point I would do it. That is a fear of mine as well though oddly never seriously bothered me with kids in the classroom.

Years ago, I used to do quite a bit of speaking to groups of 25 to 100. I really enjoyed it as long as I was well prepared and knew what I was talking about. LOL
