Good idea to have alternatives and keep on learning!

I lack the fortitude to write something so large
But I understand a little of what you mean by the beginning being hardest... the hardest part of any poem to write is the first 3 words (in my opinion)  After that is easy

R.Rector - Once you get started everything falls in place I believe. Glad you are happy at the new church and making more friends.

rector, I'm not sure if coming up with a title, or just getting started on
part one or chapter one is harder....sometimes just getting past "the" is the hardest part of all...

Learning and writing are my two favorite pastimes.  And, of course, reading the paper.  My "special alone with paper time" is 5:30am!  I'm so glad you're having a wonderful retirement....Mal

I don't know what it's like elsewhere, but the Sunday newspaper is the best!

Best wishes on the book! If it begins to drag check the scenes! I like the feet up time associated with the Sunday paper, too!

I think my nose is squashed hard against that brick wall. Perhaps that's
why the book is called Tom Ugly. LOL AT MY OWN JOKE.

Didn't realize you'd written a book earlier; congratulations, and good luck with the new one! Is there a site where the online courses are listed, or did you just google? Thanks very much for your generous comment on my antioxidants post. Nita.

Rocking
... didn't realize you had written a book.  And good luck with that difficult first page of the second one. You're so right - you have to reel in your reader as quickly as possible (at least that's true for me when I pick up a book).  I'll ponder you suggestion in my blog...

Good luck with your new book. There is an amazing selection to on-line courses for free on the net. Luckily so, because evening classes have become very expensive.

I have always loved Sunday afternoon newspaper time.  It is so relaxing.  Even when my boys were little, they knew that after dinner and cleanup on Sundays was my time with the newspaper.
