In person is preferable to me, too.  But for online games, I would rather have some practical purpose, like increasing my USCF rating, than reach level whatever in some game no one will be playing two years from now.

Carl, haven't been aroun for a bit an I'm ashamed. Thanks for your long comment on the "games". As for online chess, elinjo suggested the same and I can only repeat what I told her: online chess is only half the fun, because I like to see my opponent sweat and tear his or her hair out.

There was a time in my life when I frequented such a bar… and probably accepted that drink versus flowers.
