A 'split' decision??? Aha, that's way funny!!!!! I have the feeling 'experience' is a loaded word, here....

Seems like the instructor, whoever it may be, makes all the difference. I have friends that will never ski again because they went up with their husbands or boyfriends who encouraged them to try a huge hill right off the bat (the whole throw a person in the water and they'll swim theory). They tumbled all the way down the slopes, humiliated, and vow to never return. That's too bad! Like I said, Mr. Kevin saved me. Otherwise Ed would've ruined me regarding skiing for life. You're welcome for visiting your blog; I really enjoy it!

Now you've got me laughing...so you speared the guy, huh? Never done that before, but the resorts not open yet this year, there's still time. I've never skiied cross country so this is something I should try, for sure. Oh, and I can so relate to the ski lift issue...it is a matter of timing...terrifying the first few times! Thanks so much for reading, Elyse!

YOU CAN DO IT!!! Skiing gives you an excuse to get out into all of that beautiful scenery...getting to go places you've never been...I would do it just for that, alone! I highly encourage you to try it this winter. Just don't get with an impatient instructor that hurls you down a large hill, five minutes after you click into your skis for the first time! Not good!

...can't you just smell the pines and the new-fallen snow? Thanks for reading, FSI!

To Ski or Not to Ski
I tried a couple of times. One ski went one way...the other one another. And I was faced with a "split" decision -- dilemma on the downhill. But it certainly was an experience.

I started to learn to ski in my 20's, but now, many years later I don't think I'll take it up. That was a great story. Thanks for stopping by my blog also.

You just slay me with your writings...LOL...I know the wedge hurts, oh yes I recall --- but you did well eh? I recall my last time to ski...I was on that stupid ski lift and I always fretted just exactly when to jump off --- okay so I go back up again...okay so next time around (mind you at this one, it was saddle type operation) I jumped off thinking perfection and nope, slid down and bang

saw stars and then the next persons skis coming towards me...NOPE skiing is not for me. Cross Country just a bit better but, I like to watch people ski. Awww I do know of the wedge and also how important it is to keep the poles inward instead of outwards like I accidentally did (that man was not so happy with hole in his ski pants ouch)

great story written with such humour. It will soon be weather appropriate
too. I learned to ski in Switzerland a thousand years ago then went back to Aust. I wouldn't trust myself now. (Daddy's little Princess in Switzerland LOL)
