I agree. The catch is while doing such things is not to become so jaded that you keep everyone out. I mean with me I allow people to get close to a point but it's like there is still a small barrier I do keep up so they don't get too close.

Well giving your heart is always a double edge sword... yes it can be rewarding with the correct person... and when the committment is there and the emotional part it offers some security... BUT... it can leave a person open and vulnerable for failure or broken heart. I believe the key is to never give up your identity or your independence... always be able to love yourself and never give up your principals or morals. If you are strong going in... strong during... you will be more able to recover because you are more whole. I am one to talk... hahaha I dont practice what I preach and I admit it!! LMAO~

It is split down the line over two men. One from four years ago (That's when I wrote alot of them) and then again back in May after I decided to let someone close again and boom it happened again. The more recent ones are the more upbeat ones. Not saying that the pain is totally gone but to say that I am wise enough to look pass it and move forward. To borrow a saying from my son's movie...Failure is just another chance to try again. I firmly believe this. I guess that's why I don't write much about present dating. Just doesn't really feel like anoything worth writing about yet. The guys are cute, excitinng, and interesting but for me there is something lacking. It's like they are fake. Or maybe it is me LMAO

This poem is a bit more cheerful and upbeat than the others you are writing... its good you are writing deep from your soul.... you must be healing in some way as well. Are all these poems about the same man?
