Wow-that is hard. Him being on drugs and everything. With Robert, he is wanting to come for school. His dad is very power driven and wants Robert to go into computers and business etc...But Robert wants to be an English Professor. Too much tension in the home over it, so he is moving in with us for a while. Thanks for visiting my blog!

Good luck with that family change, I went through that with a nephew on drugs years and years ago, tough times they were. I'm sure you'll be better at handling that because you seem prepared and mine was an instant thing.

well done for being honest with yourself about this.
When my kids were little we nearly always had someone living with us The easiest was my neice I think because she was a blood relative and she went home for a lot of weekends as well. Good luck because it can be very difficult at times. Oh and you can always vent here. This is such a good forum for getting rid of hot air so to speak.

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with your blog; what are the circumstances that you are taking your nephew in? Some folks did that for me, years ago, when I could no longer stay with my parents for various reasons; it changed my life for the better. So kudos to you for being to generous. And the best of luck with that.
